Giving your home’s exterior a fresh coat of paint is one way to up its curb appeal and increase its value. But there are so many choices – how do you know which colours to go with? Here are a few expert exterior paint tips.
- Choose colours that compliment your surroundings. If you live in the country, consider painting your home in green shades. If you live near water – go blue. If you live in a busy city, choose modern colours like grey and black.
- Consider a monochromatic paint scheme. Choosing two colours from the same family – one light and one darker – will give your home depth without making it look busy.
- Paint your door a contrasting colour. Take chances with your front door and paint it in a bolder shade such as red, yellow, or black.
